Born in 1975 in Kyoto, Shintaro starts his dance training in Japan and continues it in Germany at the John Neumeier Ballet School in Hamburg.
In 1993 he wins a scholarship at the Prix de Lausanne for his last year at the John Neumeier Ballet School and is also supported by the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation.
From 1994 to 1997 he dances with the Hamburg Ballet.
From 1997 to 1999 he dances with Nederlands Dans Theater II.
From 1999 to 2004 Shintaro works as a freelance dancer and choreographer. 2004, he is engaged with the Cullberg Ballet and danced in works by Johan Inger and Mats Ek.
In 2002, he is one of the speakers supporting the seminars of the Prix de Lausanne.
In 2005 he wins the 1st prize at the International Competition for Choreographers Hanover for the choreography of the Pas de deux del a. Shintaro teaches at the 1st Gotland International Dance Seminar in Choreography for professional dancers, followed by performances in the Vita mountain park, Stockholm, and at the Linbury Theatre of the Royal Opera in London in September 2005.
