Serena studies at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome before moving to Zurich where she continues her training at the Swiss Ballettberufsschule SBBS in Zurich under the direction of Pierre and Ljiuba Dobrievitch.
She becomes a member of the Ballet Junior of Geneva, direction Beatriz Consuelo.
The Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation grants her a scholarship before she is being employed at the theatre in Magdeburg in Germany, directed by Irene Schneider.
Then she dances as a soloist at the Theater Vorpommern, directed by Peter Breuer, the Nordharzer Städtebundtheater Halberstadt under the direction of Tarek Assam and then at the Stadttheater Augsburg directed by Jochen Heckmann where she also works as an assistant, choreographer and dance teacher.

She is awarded the Prize of the Theatre of Augsburg and the Prize for the best couple at the International Ballet Competition in Luxembourg.
She works as a teacher of ballet and contemporary at dance companies and schools in Germany and Italy.
She participates as a lecturer in contemporary dance at the Stage Marche Danza since 2008 and works as a guest teacher and choreographer at the Nuovo Spazio Danza in Jesi (IT) and the Carillon School in Macerata.
