Matias Oberlin August 2023

What good news that our former scholarship holder Matias Oberlin is so successful in his ballet career! He has undergone an impressive development since leaving Argentina in 2011 at the age of 14 and receiving the scholarship (2011/2013) from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation to attend the Hamburg Ballet School. From his admission to the Hamburg Ballet in 2014 to being awarded in 2019 the Dr. Wilhelm Oberdörffer Prize and finally his position as Principal Dancer 2023 at the Hamburg Ballet, he has certainly shown a lot of hard work and dedication. His story is an example of how talent, passion and commitment can lead to great success. We wish Matias Oberlin a continued successful and fulfilling career and that his talent will continue to be admired on the stages of Hamburg and beyond.
