Matthew Bade

Matthew Bade, born in Portland, USA, receives his training at the Northwest Dance Project and at the Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy, where he is promoted for the school years 2009-10 through a grant from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation and by the Huygens Talent Grant.

He dances at the Jefferson Dancers (USA), Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and Arnhem Introdans, including in works of Ji?í Kylián, Hans van Manen, Stijn Celis, Bruno Listopad, Regina van Berkel, Moses Pendelton, Nacho Duato and Ed Wubbe.

With the beginning of season 2012/13 he moved to the ballet of the Hessian State Theatre in Wiesbaden, where he is to be seen in all current productions, including as a shadow-world father in Romeo and Juliet, in Walking Mad of guest choreographers Johan Inger and in Room 49 of the ballet Ballett Roulette.

Besides his work as a dancer at the State Theatre Matthew graduated in the U.S. a correspondence course in arts management.
