Maria comes from Padua, Italy.
1985 to 1987 she starts her training at the ballet school Cosi-Stefanescu in Reggio Emilia, studies 1987-1989 at the ballet school of La Scala in Milan, followed by a year at the California Club Milano.
1990-1994, Mary becomes a student at the Schweizerische Ballettberufsschule Zürich, where she concludes her training.
A contract as a ballet dancer leads Maria to the famous Royal Ballet in London.

After her career she becomes a professional Pilates instructor of her own studio Equilibrium in New Malden, Surrey, England.
She is married to the former principal dancer of the Royal Ballet, Yohei Sasaki, and mother of two children.
In the school years 1991-92, 1992-93, 1993-94 Mary receives a scholarship of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation for her education at the Swiss Ballet School Zürich.
