Carolina Boscán

Carolina was born in Caracas, Venezuela.

She receives her dance training at the Academia de Ballet Clásico de Nina Nowak in Caracas, at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart and in summer courses at the National Ballet of Cuba and the National Ballet of Canada.

In 2000, she receives a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation in Toronto to further her education.

She is a soloist with the Ballet Clásico de Nina Nowak and with the dance companies of Dessau, Leipzig and Gorlitz. International guest appearances include the XI Ballet Festival in Trujillo, Peru, International Neoclassical Festival in Venezuela, the International Ballet Gala X in Dortmund and at the Metropolitan Ballet of Monterrey in Mexico.

During this time, Carolina performs in various ballets including Les Sylphides, Le Corsaire, Don Quixote and Sleeping Beauty (Choreography: Uwe Scholz), Swan Lake (Choreography: Paul Chalmer), The Taming of the Shrew (Choreography: John Cranko) and Les Noces (Choreography: Mauro Bigonzetti).

Since autumn 2012 she is engaged as a soloist with group commitments with the Aalto Ballet Essen and in her first season she dances the role of Micaëla (Carmen/Bolero).

2014 Carolina dances the roles of Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream and a bridesmaid in Giselle.
