Milena was born in Locarno.
At five years of age she begins her violin studies with Sister Clara Lainati in Locarno.
In 1992, she takes part at the Concorso internazionale di Musica Stresa and receives the First Price Solo in the category B of the competition.
In 1994, she continues her studies with Katalin Major.
1995 Milena attends the Scuola d'Archi Vivaldi in Bellinzona, performs regularly with the formation Mini-Ensemble and becomes a member of the Gioventù Musicale Svizzera, section Bellinzona.

1996 she participates at the 12. Concorso Svizzero di Musica per la Gioventù, and wins the 3rd Price.
For her violin studies at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano Milena receives a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation.
